Justin O’Connor, Biamp Product Manager, Audio Products, will discuss the importance of audio protocols for the future AV solutions
A range of topics will be addressed, including IoT, networked audio,  & acoustic echo cancelling technology

Biamp Systems, a leading provider of innovative, networked media systems, has announced multiple speaking engagements at ISE 2016. A range of topics will be addressed, including the Internet of Things (IoT), networked audio, acoustic echo cancelling technology, unified communication and collaboration (UC&C), and more. The sessions will take place from Feb. 9-12 in one of three program areas — InfoComm FlashTrack, Audio Solutions Theatre, and Unified Communications Theatre — at the Amsterdam RAI Exhibition and Convention Centre in the Netherlands.

ISE 2016 sessions include:

InfoComm FlashTrack:

1. Why should AV care about IoT?

Feb. 9, 11:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.

Stand 12-N100

Graeme Harrison, Biamp’s Executive Vice President of Marketing, will discuss how the Internet of Things (IoT) is permeating every level of service and technologies. Attendees will learn more about the possibilities IoT offers and how IEEE open standards such as AVB/TSN are fuelling more ideas, encouraging a significant growth in the adoption of these standards, and solidifying them as the standard of choice for many industries. In addition, attendees can earn .5RU toward their CTS®, CTS-D; or CTS-I.

Audio solutions theatre:

1. Exploring networked audio protocols: AVB, CobraNet and Dante

Feb. 9, 2:30 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.

Justin O’Connor, Biamp Product Manager, Audio Products, will discuss the importance of audio protocols for the future AV solutions. He will provide details and context on the specific features and functions of AVB, CobraNet®, and Dante™; how these standards are not mutually exclusive; the differentiating time mechanism of each; and IP routing of media over networks (specifically differentiating “route-ability” from the mechanics of Layer 2 and Layer 3).

2. Understanding AVB/TSN and its advantages

Feb. 10, 11:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

Graeme Harrison, Biamp’s Executive Vice President of Marketing, will explain how open industry standards such as IEEE’s AVB/TSN bridges the gap between AV and IT systems, the advantages the technology promises to integrators, and how integrators can benefit from networked AV designed and implemented around these standards.

3. Acoustic Echo Cancelling Technology for enhanced productivity

The sessions will take place from Feb. 9-12 in one of three program areas — InfoComm FlashTrack, Audio Solutions Theatre, and Unified Communications Theatre — at the Amsterdam RAI Exhibition and Convention Centre in the Netherlands

Two sessions:

Feb. 11, 3:00 p.m. – 3:30 p.m.

Feb. 12, 1:30 p.m. – 2:00 p.m.

Martin Bonsoir, European Applications Engineering Manager for Biamp, will explain how acoustic echo cancelling (AEC) technology enhances the audio quality of UC systems, evaluate the benefits of implementing the right AEC solution, and outline some guidelines for determining the performance needed for different types of spaces and applications.

Unified communications theatre:

1. UC&C and Huddle Spaces

Feb. 9, 2:00 p.m. – 2:30 p.m.

Graeme Harrison, Biamp’s Executive Vice President of Marketing, will outline the audio solutions, video hardware, design considerations, and integration best practices behind today’s most successful huddle room installations, including methods for web and videoconferencing that mimic the authenticity of face-to-face interactions and how installers can maintain both biometric and encryption security protocols sometimes needed within the enterprise space.

2. Identifying and preparing for industry trends

Feb. 10, 2:00 p.m. – 2:30 p.m.

Sally Blank, Sales Development Director for Unified Communications at Biamp, will present on the trends and issues impacting the industry — including network design, security, monitoring, redundancy, end-user interface, and BYOD — as well as what to consider and how best to prepare as the industry evolves.
