Biamp Systems, a provider of innovative, networked media systems, announces its line-up for the Rocky Mountain Audio Video Expo (AVX) 2016. Held Oct. 26-27 at Crowne Plaza in Denver, the event will give attendees an up-close look at award-winning Biamp DSP-based products and collaboration and conferencing solutions. In addition, Biamp’s regional sales manager Brent Stark will lead a speaking session at the show.

“Biamp is committed to providing our customers with innovative audio, video, and networking solutions that support end users’ needs in today’s networked environments,” said Stark. “In light of Cisco’s announcement supporting AVB/TSN with its enterprise-grade switches, AVX is a great opportunity for attendees to stop by our booth and learn how they can leverage our Networked Media Solutions while getting an up-close look at the newest products.”

Biamp will display its Tesira line of digital signal processors, providing a wide range of customisation, connectivity, and configuration options to satisfy audio and video applications of any size. Built on AVB/TSN — IEEE’s open standards — the Tesira platform’s networking capabilities are among the most scalable, flexible, and affordable on the market. The TesiraFORTÉ series of audio processors consists of eight preconfigured models (four AVB/TSN and non-AVB/TSN models) that provide greater simplicity and more options to today’s conferencing, telephony, and VoIP environments. Biamp extends the flexibility and efficiencies of the platform with its Oreno mobile control software, affording users the ability to control Tesira-equipped conference rooms via mobile devices.

Biamp will also showcase its Devio collaboration tool for modern workplaces and discuss its Vocia public address and voice evacuation system. Designed for huddle rooms and other small meeting spaces, Devio provides a high-quality, easy-to-operate, laptop-based audio and video conferencing solution. The Vocia networked public address and voice evacuation system leverages a distributed networked approach to provide facilities with scalable, adaptable, and cost-effective paging solutions.

AV and IT collaboration

Stark’s speaking session, “AV and IT Collaboration — Deterministic Ethernet, Time Sensitive Networking for IoT,” will be held Oct. 26 from 10:45 – 11:30 a.m. in the Pikes Peak Pavilion. He will discuss how the technology world has changed in regard to IoT, deterministic Ethernet, and time-sensitive networking. Attendees will gain an understanding of the impact of AVB, benefits and challenges, topology considerations, stream reservation protocol, bandwidth needs, and quality of service.
