Arena Zabrze is a modern football stadium complex with a 24,563 seat capacity; the only facility of its kind in the region of Silesia, southern Poland. The stadium has recently undergone complete redevelopment, with substantial renovation of the exterior structure and spectator stands.

The redevelopment has also added food and hospitality outlets, health and fitness amenities, VIP lounges and the necessary services and parking. With a heated playing field, two-tier covered stands and high specification lighting and sound systems, the venue has provided all of the latest features and technology for a high quality experience at stadium events.

High audio quality and accurate coverage

Supplied by Tommex Zebrowscy Sp. J. and installed by Integra s.c., the new sound system for Arena Zabrze is based on Dynacord electronics and Community R SERIES loudspeakers. The system provides audio for public address and entertainment with integrated voice alarm and covers the spectator stands, playing field and the interior of the stadium’s infrastructure. Audio source selection and control are provided from both the commentary and fire officer’s locations. Community’s R SERIES was chosen for its audio quality, high sound level capability and accurate coverage patterns. Sixty-four Community R2-52 and four R2-474 loudspeakers provide the SPL, high intelligibility and even coverage required for all areas of Arena Zabrze. The control and network comprises a Dynacord CMS 2200 console, DPM 8016 Digital Matrix Manager and P 64 modular network compatible audio matrix with signal processing, system monitoring and remote operability. Dynacord DSA 8805 power amplifiers equipped with RCM 810 modules drive the Community loudspeakers and equipment racks consist of one main rack and two amp racks connected via a redundant Dante network. Additional equipment includes Sennheiser wireless microphones, Beyerdynamic headphones, Genelec monitors and a Denon CD/MP3 player.

“The Arena Zabrze system provides a reliable, high quality solution for life safety, communication and entertainment,” said Marcin Zimny, Commercial Director of Tommex. “It delivers excellent audio quality with sound levels that are clear, even with a capacity crowd, and provides for both visitors’ enjoyment and their safety.”
