The Philippines’ leading pro audio distributors gathered for the opportunity to showcase their newest products at the Musik Manila trade show (August 16-17), which returned to the World Trade Centre Exhibition grounds for its second year running.

Electro-Voice (EV) was represented by EVI Distribution Inc. Philippines, with regional support from members of EV’s global marketing application design team: regional application design and support manager Ronnie Lai and regional product marketing manager Patrick Hau, both based out of the Bosch/EV Singapore office.

Outdoor demo stage

For the outdoor demo stage the team deployed a single array of 12 X2-212/90-line array loudspeakers – the high-performance model from the new X-Line Advance family – supported by eight X12-128 ground-stacked subwoofers. All signal processing was handled centrally via an EV N8000 system controller and EV TG7 amplifiers with OMNEO-capable RCM-28 remote control modules. The audio source was sent via Dante for pristine sound quality.

Indoor exhibition space

A system comprising two arrays of six X1-212/90 and six X12-128 ground-stacked subs was deployed in the indoor exhibition space. Two days of EV training took place here on August 18-19, focusing on X2 and giving attendees hands-on experience with LAPS 3.0-line array prediction software, IRIS-Net system control, and the mechanical rigging components of the X2.
