TF V2.0 also makes it possible to more flexibly assign the 8 processing and effects units for more creative sound-shaping and system expansion capability
The update includes new effect types and operation improvements for seamless compatibility with Tio1608-D I/O racks

Yamaha is very pleased to provide TF Series console users with a major firmware update to version 2.0. The new update includes new effect types and operation improvements for seamless compatibility with Tio1608-D I/O racks enabling a faster and easier setup for use in a broader range of applications.

Since their release last year the TF Series of digital mixing consoles has garnered a great reputation among users for their intuitive TouchFlow Operation™ interface and smart, compact design. The new update was developed in response to users seeking to expand their TF Series systems for larger spaces and a wider variety of applications using Yamaha Tio1608-D I/O racks.

TF Series users can easily configure multiple channel digital network systems with a single Ethercon cable using the low-latency, high sound quality Dante network protocol. Users wishing to expand on the TF's already extensive input/output capability can easily add up to three Tio1608-D I/O racks with the optional NY64-D expansion card via the console's QUICK CONFIG mode. Once QUICK CONFIG mode is enabled after a few simple steps, network settings and audio patching are set automatically, allowing users to setup a small to large sized sound system quickly and easily.

TF V2.0 also makes it possible to more flexibly assign the 8 processing and effects units for more creative sound-shaping and system expansion capability. The update also includes an expanded library of QuickPro Presets™ that give users a simple, time-efficient mixing starting point with optimised microphone, musical instrument, and output gear settings.

TF Editor version 2.0 software

Along with V2.0 firmware updates, the TF Editor dedicated software that gives users flexible offline setup capability has also been upgraded to version 2.0, and TF StageMix for iPad has been improved for more seamless wireless control of TF consoles. The updated versions of TF Editor can be downloaded from the Yamaha Pro Audio website, while TF StageMix can be found in Apple’s App Store. Both are free of charge.

“The TF Series consoles have already received a very positive response from users for their intuitive interface and workflow since the release last year” said Ken Hiraoka, Yamaha PA Department Manager. “With the V2.O updates, users can now adapt their TF systems to a broader range of mixing environments and applications with the addition of new functions and Tio rack compatibility. Current users can now benefit from the expanded flexibility of the new update. With long-awaited release of Tio1608-D, TF can be adopted to wider range of applications.”
